Imaginative
I’m Anisa
author, editor, dog mom, coffee + tea drinker, nature admirer, and lifelong lover of stories.
The s in my social media handle - a.s.worthington - comes from my middle name, a tiny detail that turned into a brand I adore. And … it helps that it’s one people tend to remember.
As both an author and fiction editor, I know how storytelling works from the inside out. But that doesn’t stop me from reading. In fact, it only encourages it!
I read and edit across many genres, though fantasy has my whole heart. Each story is always so different! Contemporary fiction is beautiful too, but sometimes a little magic just hits different.
And yes, I’m a worldbuilding girlie through and through, hehe.
A bit about my background:
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree, and I’m endlessly passionate about both of my majors. English Literature and Creative Writing. I’ve spent years studying how stories breathe, how they grow, and how they stay with us long after the last page. I truly believe they’re living things - that they carry purpose, meaning, and magic.
That’s what makes them timeless.
I read with Passion
I analyze with Curiosity
I edit with Love
I’ve built my career around helping writers elevate their stories with clarity, strategy, and heart. Whether authors need developmental editing, line editing, copy editing, proofreading, or formatting, I’m here to help shape stories that resonate deeply.
And it’s been an incredible journey - learning how to craft my own books while supporting others. Transiting from online publishing firms and other freelance editing businesses to creating my own has been a dream come true.
And one I’m only just getting started with.

I’m an author + editor with an imaginative mind, a meticulous eye, and a fearless love for emotional, evocative stories.
Evocative
Fun Fact -
If you write in fantasy romance, paranormal romance, new adult fantasy, or character-driven fiction, we’re already speaking the same language.
-
I love all things fantasy, paranormal, and romance. But, if I had to pick the all-time favourites that I love to edit - to pick apart and find new techniques to show it - and read about…
Found Family
Friends to Lovers
Reincarnation/Past Life
Time Travel

Genres in nature are fluid. Many end up overlapping or merging, especially when trope and reader expectation get involved.
But that’s what makes it all so much fun!

More than one page would be needed to list all of my favourites - it’s like picking a favourite child or best book boyfriend. There are way too many, and they are all great - something to learn or take from - in every story.
That said, here are some stories that have stuck with me since I read them. These are the stories that shape my own writing and from which I have learned (and love to use) incredible technique and skill.
The Percy Jackson and The Olympians Series by Rick Riordan
And every single book in this universe…
Dracula by Bram Stoker
A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare
Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare
The A Court of Thorns and Roses Series (ACOTAR) by Sarah J Maas
The whole world Mass created is astounding
The Emyprian Series by Rebecca Yarros
Dark Rise Series by C.S. Pacat
The Green Creek Series by T.J. Klune
When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker
Check out my Instagram to see the book reviews on these books! I look at what I liked, what I didn’t, technique, style, vibe, and her overall feelings about the book. I also do ARC reviews, alongside monthly group book reviews at the end of each month. These ‘monthly reads’ are less detailed as they normally consist of two to four books.
